Broad-spectrum anthelmintic in suspension form for oral use.

Target species
Beef and mutton.

Active substance
Oxfendazole 22.65 mg/ml

Indication
The drug is indicated in the control of adult and immature stages of gastrointestinal roundworms (gastrointestinal worms), lungworms and tapeworms. The drug also controls the eggs (ovicidal action).

In cattle, the drug is effective against the following species:

• roundworms: Ostertagia (including Ostertagia type II), Haemonchus spp.., Trichostrongylus spp.., Nematodirus spp.., Cooperia spp.., Capillaria spp.., Oesophagostomum spp. and Chabertia spp.
• lung worms: Dictyocaulus viviparous
• tapeworms: Moniezia

In sheep, the drug is effective against benzimidazole-sensitive strains of the following species:

• roundworms: Ostertagia, Haemonchus spp.., Trichostrongylus spp.., Nematodirus spp. (including N. battus), Cooperia spp.., Capellaria spp.., Oesophagostomum spp. and Chabertia spp.
• lung worms: Dictyocaulus
• tapeworms: Moniezia

Can be used during gestation and lactation.

Contraindications
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any of the excipients.

Dosage
The drug is administered orally through a calibrated dosing device.

Cattle: once 4.5 mg oxfendazole per kg body weight (corresponding to 5 ml of product per 25 kg body weight).

Sheep: once 5 mg oxfendazole per kg body weight (equivalent to 1 ml per 4.5 kg body weight).

Special warnings
The following situations should be avoided, as they promote the development of resistance and may ultimately lead to treatment that is ineffective:

• Too frequent and repeated use of anthelmintics of the same group over an extended period of time.
• underdosing, due to underestimation of body weight, improper administration of the veterinary drug or a dosing device that is not or improperly calibrated (if applicable).

Beef:
(Organ) meat: 16 days
Milk: 6 days

Sheep:
(Organ) meat: 16 days

Not permitted for use in sheep producing milk for human consumption.
