Walk-through trap to catch rats, martens and even polecats!
Once the walk-through trap is set an animal will approach the bait. When attempting to eat, the animal in question will have to stand on the platform. As soon as the platform moves, the iron pins on the side of the cage will separate. At that moment the flaps on both sides of the cage will fall shut. The smaller flaps will rest on the barb so the animal has no way to escape. The trap is made of galvanized steel.
 
Tips
It is possible to put four eggs in the holes of the tray as a lure. However, do this before setting the trap.
To catch pests even faster and more efficiently with this walk-through trap, you can cover the bottom of the trap with sand and leaves. By placing a cloth or branches over the trap, there is less light and pests are more likely to walk into the trap.
