Indication
For the treatment of mixed infections of cestodes, nematodes or arthropods caused by moxidectin- and praziquantel-susceptible strains of:
- Large strongylids (adult stages): Strongylus vulgaris, edentatus, Triodontophorus brevicauda, T. serratus and T. tenuicollis.
- Small strongylids (adult and intraluminal larval stages): Cyathostomum , Cylicocycle spp.., Cylicostephanus spp.., Cylicodontophorus spp. and Gyalocephalus spp.
- Ascarids (adult stages): Parascarid equorum.
- Tapeworms (adult stages): Anoplocephala perfoliata, magna and Paranoplocephala mammillana.
- Other species: Oxyuris equi (adult), Habronema muscae (adult), Gasterophilus intestinalis (L2, L3), nasalis (L2, L3), Strongyloides westeri (adult) and Trichostrongylus axei (adult).
The excretion of small strongylid eggs is suppressed for 90 days. The veterinary drug is effective against intestinal resident (developing) L4 stages of the small strongylids. At 8 weeks after treatment, early (hypobiotic) L3 stages of the small strongylids are eliminated.
The veterinary drug has been proven safe for use in broodmares and for use during pregnancy and lactation. Administration of the veterinary drug has no adverse effect on the fertility of mares.
Contraindications
Do not administer to foals younger than 6.5 months of age. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or any of the excipients.
The veterinary drug is specially formulated for use only in horses. Adverse effects may occur in dogs or cats due to the concentration of moxidectin in this veterinary drug if they ingest gel or have access to used syringes.
Dosage
A single administration of 400 μg moxidectin /kg body weight and 2.5 mg praziquantel /kg body weight using the calibrated syringe with each dash indicating 25 kg body weight.
To ensure correct dosing, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible; the accuracy of dosing should be monitored. For accurate dosing, the use of a scale or measuring tape is recommended.
Before the first dose, hold the syringe so that the cap points to the left and the weight indications and measurement marks (small black lines) are visible. Set the syringe to zero by turning the dosing ring so that the left side of the ring is at the first full black mark and push the plunger down and safely remove any paste that is released.
Hold the syringe as previously described to dispense the veterinary drug. Each gauge line corresponds to 25 kg body weight and 10 mg moxidectin/62.5 mg praziquantel.
Turn the dosing ring until the left side of the ring is aligned with the animal's weight. One syringe is for treating a 700 kg horse.
The praziquantel dose in the veterinary drug has been selected high in the dose range for the treatment of tapeworm. The veterinarian should advise on appropriate deworming and grazing schedules to achieve optimal parasite control.

Meat and offal: 64 days.
Milk: Do not use in lactating mares producing milk for human consumption.
