Cartilage fibers are largely composed of type II collagen. To build and repair cartilage, the amino acids glycine, proline and hydroxyproline are important. Although dogs and cats can produce these amino acids themselves, it is precisely during periods of relapse, rapid growth, old age or a hereditary defect that the production of new cartilage stagnates.
Gelatin or collagen hydrolysate consists mostly of collagen type II and promotes the production of collagen fibers in cartilage. In addition, collagen has a positive influence on the condition of the coat and nails.
Usage:
Mix through the feed or dinner in the amount indicated. (measuring spoon: 3 ml= 1.5 g.; 5 ml = 2.5 g.; 8 ml = 4 g.) preferably divided over two daily periods.
