How does the Loer daze trap work?
The Loer daze trap catches daes by deceiving the female daes.
The black ball is warmed by the sun and gently moves back and forth. The hare is attracted to this moving heat source, mistaking the black ball for prey. She lands on the ball, stabs and then flies up (toward the light) in disappointment. She then lands in the catch basin via the trap.
